On the night of June 10, just before 11 PM, a member of the Bonnyville RCMP made an arrest after observing a van driving in Kehewin with a missing taillight and failing to signal when turning. The vehicle was pulled over, leading to the discovery of multiple criminal activities.
The female driver, identified as 26-year-old Kali Dion of Kehewin, was found to have outstanding warrants for her arrest. Further investigation revealed a large quantity of drugs, sufficient for trafficking, and a handgun in the vehicle. As a result, the male passenger, 41-year-old Stacey Moosepayo of Kehewin, was also taken into custody.

Stacey Moosepayo faces charges, including eight counts of firearms offences and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. Kali Dion has been charged with possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking, six counts of firearms offences, two counts of breaching conditions, driving while prohibited, driving an uninsured and unregistered motor vehicle, and improper use of a license plate. Both individuals were brought before a Justice of the Peace for bail hearings and were subsequently released back into the community. They are scheduled to appear in court on June 25. Â
