St. Paul is gearing up for Canada Day celebrations, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Recreation Centre. This family-friendly event promises a variety of activities and entertainment for all ages.
The festivities will include exciting activities such as axe throwing, a petting zoo, and roller-skating or inline skating. Attendees can also explore the vendors market, get sparkle tattoos, and enjoy balloon animals. For children, there will be face painting, arts and crafts, and bouncy houses.
Food and refreshments will be plentiful with free donuts, ice cream, and coffee available. Additionally, various food trucks will be on-site to offer a wide range of culinary delights.
The event will feature several shows and performances throughout the day. Caity Hoops will kick off the entertainment with a circus performance from 12:15 p.m. to 12:45 p.m., followed by the Kehewin Native Dance Theater from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Jason will then dazzle the crowd with another circus performance from 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. The afternoon will conclude with live music by Tyler Fodchuck from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m..
In addition to these activities and performances, there will be a Show & Shine car show. After the main event, attendees are invited to watch free sponsored movies at Elite Theatre starting at 4:30 p.m., featuring “The NeverEnding Story” (1984) and “The Lego Movie” (2014).
The day’s celebrations will culminate in a grand fireworks display at approximately 11 p.m.
