Stepping Stones Crisis Society announces new leadership for strategic growth initiatives

The Board of Directors of Stepping Stones Crisis Society (SSCS) is excited to share important updates reflecting the organization’s commitment to enhancing support and services for the community.   

Melissa Francis has been appointed as SSCS’s new Chief Executive Officer. Melissa brings a wealth of leadership experience, and her leadership is expected to drive Stepping Stones Crisis Society to new heights in advocacy and support for women and children fleeing violence.   

SSCS’s previous CEO, Susan White, will transition to the role of Chief Strategic Officer, focusing on strategic initiatives, including an exciting building project. This evolution underscores SSCS’ dedication to future planning and expanding capacity to serve those in need. The organization expressed gratitude for Susan’s leadership over the past ten years and looks forward to her continued contributions in her new role.   

The Board of Directors assures the community that there will be no impact on service provision or delivery during this leadership transition. This change reflects SSCS’ ongoing commitment to innovation, efficiency, and excellence in support for survivors of violence in the community.
