Lakeland College set to celebrate Alberta Apprenticeship Day on September 23rd

It’s a day to celebrate all things Apprentices; Lakeland College will celebrate Alberta Apprentice Day on September 23rd, with a look back on the incredible work by those done looking to break into their field.

Dean of Lakeland’s School of Trades and Technology, Dave King says they are honoured to be able to not only celebrate past successes, but to continue to offer what he calls life-changing training and opportunities to students, as well as support Alberta’s labour market.

“Our combination of experienced instructors and in-demand programming adds up to a winning equation; Lakeland apprentices graduate with the skills to excel in their industry,” King adds.

Lakeland currently offers a total of seven apprenticeship programs, including for those looking become a Heavy Equipment Technician, Carpenter, or Electrician.

The celebration will take place at the Vermillion campus, kicking off at 12 p.m.
