One woman charged after stolen minivan from St. Paul was recovered in Bonnyville hours later

A minivan stolen from St. Paul on the morning of November 4 was recovered by Bonnyville RCMP hours later, resulting in the arrest of two women.  

The minivan was reported stolen after 11:00 a.m., and around 3 p.m., Bonnyville RCMP, with assistance from the Cold Lake General Investigation Section and the Eastern Alberta District Crime Reduction Unit, spotted it leaving a local residence.  

RCMP followed the minivan to a restaurant on 50th Avenue, where it parked. Officers immediately arrested the two women as they exited the vehicle.  

Ariel Knight, 30, of Cold Lake has been charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and resisting arrest. She was released by a Justice of the Peace and is scheduled to appear in court on November 19. The passenger was released without charges.
