St. Paul RCMP are investigation a tragic multi-vehicle collision that occurred on the morning of September 20 on Highway 29 near Highway 652 on Saddle Lake First Nations.
At approximately 7:30 a.m., police received a 911 call reporting a serious crash involving a mid-size SUV and a school bus.
St. Paul RCMP attended where Emergency Medical Services and local fire services were already on scene of the incident. The 46-year-old driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have confirmed that no children were present on the school bus at the time of the collision. The identity of the deceased driver will not be released according to RCMP.
The St. Paul Forensic Collision Reconstruction Unit arrived to examine the site and gather further evidence. The RCMP have stated that the investigation into the cause of the crash remains ongoing.
