On January 28, around 1:30 p.m., a Bonnyville resident was attacked while attempting to sell an item arranged through an online marketplace.
The victim met the supposed buyer in a parking lot on the east end of Bonnyville, shared by several businesses. During the transaction, the “buyer” bear sprayed the seller in the face, grabbed the item, and fled on foot.
The suspect was captured on local video surveillance, and Bonnyville RCMP are seeking the public’s help in identifying them.
